Welcome to Gravel Paradise
The surroundings of Guadix and the desert of Gorafe provide a spectacular environment for gravel riding. The endless amount of gravel roads with amazing views has the potential to become THE PLACE for Gravel riding in Europe.
Cuevas – Spanish for caves – are fully equipped apartments build into the hills around Guadix. It is a truly special experience to stay. You will feel like being in hobbit land. Optional you can also choose to camp for free. For more information about accommodations click here.
Best is of course by bike ;).
The closest international airports is in Malaga. Also Sevilla and Alicante can be a good option. Granada has a national airport, which is worth checking too.
You can arrive via Malaga, either by bike which is a stunning ride or per bus and train. The same goes for Granada (40min by train). We highly recommend to take a whole week off and explore Granada or the coasts of Andalusia.
It is a unique experience to stay inside them. There are proper apartments with bedrooms, living rooms, kitchens, and bathrooms built into the hills around Guadix. You can have your own one or share them with others.
This is what we ask ourselves every day. A unique place on earth.
No, you should simply feel comfortable riding on loose ground.

Yes, you are. Just make sure you set it up with fast-rolling tires.
No, as the risk would be too high to run out of battery in the middle of nowhere.
